Acknowledgement of Country
Georgina recognises the Wadawurrung and Dja Dja Wurrung People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which she lives. She respectfully acknowledges First Nations People's profound and extensive connections to the environment, family, language and culture, both physically and spiritually. She wishes to honour Indigenous Australian Elders both past and present, and extends this to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
About the Artist
Georgina is an emerging interdisciplinary artist based in Ballarat, on Wadawurrung and Dja-Dja Wurrung land, Australia. Georgina grew up in rural north east Victoria, on Dhudhuroa and Waywurru land. In 2010 she moved to the city of Ballarat to pursue a university degree in fine art. In 2017 she graduated from a bachelor of environmental management. During the pandemic lockdowns she invested whole heartedly in her art career.
Motives
Georgina creates artworks that aim to spark interest in the natural world, and in the unique endemic Australian species that we are so lucky to have.

Georgina's art reflects her fascination and enthusiasm for botany, ecological relationships, and the intriguing life of arthropods, insects and arachnids. Her artworks range from delicate pencil illustrations to traditional handmade prints. She works with her individual style and techniques to capture subjects both in a scientific and artistic light.

Professional grade coloured pencils are used to ensure artworks are vibrant and rich in colour. Georgina's handmade prints are created using non-toxic water based inks.

Packaging
Unbleached, environmentally friendly, biodegradable packaging materials are used wherever possible, to minimise unusable waste. Georgina encourages her customers to reuse and recycle any packaging they can, and reduce the amount of waste going into landfills and the environment.
