Exhibited at Art Space Ballarat, during June - July, 2022, the 13 Moons Collective displayed works for their group exhibition titled 'Honour a Woman'. Each member of the collective displayed or preformed works that honoured a woman, or women in their own way.
My series honoured the hard work, dedication and kindness of Anne Tudor and her late wife Edie Mayhew, with their efforts involved in creating the Ballarat Dementia Friendly Forest and Sensory Trail. My series of illustrations showcased the beautiful native flora and arthropod species that are found on the trail, and included the smaller species that may go unnoticed. Species are now flourishing, because of the attention the area has undergone, as a result of the establishment of the trail. Anne and Edie's efforts in creating a dementia friendly trail has brought the community closer together and has helped breath life back into the Woowookarung Regional Park.
All my artworks for this series are professionally framed in Acacia melanoxylon, Australian Blackwood timber.
